Sunshine Coast

Here are my favourite places on the Sunny Coast

Spirit House, Yandina

More than a restaurant, Spirit House is a tropical sanctuary! (lel).
We loved walking around the gardens. It felt so peaceful. A must is the Fish dish (chef’s kiss!). It was gooooood. We also liked how they allowed you to swap dessert for three bite sized entrees – especially since Adam is not a sweet tooth.

This place is great for celebratory occasions. We love it!

I took my parents here recently and they enjoyed it too! I can’t wait to go back again.
P.S Adam, can we again soon please?

Cotton Tree

A a beautiful spot for a picnic.
We set up on the grassy area right next to The Boat Shed.
You can buy fish n chips and burgers just around the corner here too!

If you like a sweet treat I would recommend getting the deep fried pineapple. It’s coated in a cinnamon sugar batter – and its so good.

Noosa Coastal Walk

I love this coastal walk. We started at the end of Hastings Street and walked to the Fairy Pools. It was about 2.5-3 hours return. But you might be much quicker if you don’t stop and admire the view like we did!

El Capitano, Noosa

El Capitano is my favourite Italian spot in Noosa. They use local ingredients and the pizza bases are fermented for 72-hours. You can tell. It is so good.
We went here two nights in a row – once we dined it, and the other we got takeaway and sat near the beach for sunset. Would recommend.
On a Friday night there was a DJ on the broad walk of the beach – music. sunset on the beach. good food. it was a vibe.

Glass House Mountains Lookout

The sunsets here are stunning. You can see panoramic views over the Glass House Mountains, Caloundra, Maroochydore, Moreton Island and Brisbane.

There’s a quick and easy walk you can do, which takes only about 15-20 minutes for the full loop. We then enjoyed a picnic here. Our friends bought snacks and some tea, and it was the perfect evening. We stayed till night and did some star gazing. It was stunning.

It’s also great to do either on your way from the coast to Brisbane, or heading to the the coast.

Coolum Beach

We enjoy this coastal walk.
Also, I got this cute as bag from one of the stores nearby!

The Wharf, Mooloolaba

The sunset at the wharf is delightful! We went to rice boi at the wharf for a bite to eat and walked around to see this stunner of a sunset.
Also, Adam! Look we are babies here, aww!

Alex Headlands and Mooloolaba walk

I love Alex Heads and Mooloolaba for a walk, swim or a picnic.
The water, I discovered only a few years ago, is my absolute happy place. The sunsets here are stunning.

Other recommended eats:

We love Augelio’s in Mooloolaba. Adam introduced me to this place when we first started dating. Our usual is the the half and half pizza with lamb on one half and seafood on the other.
Liliana’s Trattoria, on Ocean Street.
Flaming Sushi, Mooloolaba – their trio roll is our go-to!
CiCi’s in Mooloolaba for yummy drinks. I’ve tried the hot matcha latte, strawberry matcha cold foam pistachio hazelnut, and monte blanc.
Mapleton Public House in Mapleton. The menu is guided by seasonal produce from The Falls Farm, and it never disappoints.
Rangoli Indian Restaurant in Buderim for a takeaway. I love the goat pasanda curry and a garlic naan, Adam loves a spicy chicken tikka masala and a spicy naan – that’s one too many spices for me.
